They used some kind of suction cups when binding the slabs together with colored silicone.

We have a kitchen sink again!

The granite is more yellow next to the cherry cabinets than we expected. Now we have to figure out if we can blend the colors more by changing the paint hue on the wall. Overall, we're delighted.

The Manspiel

The most popular club bonspiel is the Fowler, also known as the Manspiel.  And Ack's team won it a couple of weekends ago.  Congrats to the Berling rink: Tim (1st year curler), Ack (4th year), Rick (4th year) and Richard (since the flood).

Happy Birthday Joe Pryor! Anne is out visiting. Ack went up to the capitol to walk around with protesters. Favorite sign "Because there are good things in the world Mr. Frodo, and they are worth fighting for."  A tractor with a manure spreader included a sign indicating this is where the 'budget repair bill' belonged.

Behavior of Republican leadership in trying to solve WI budget issues is shameful.

We Are Wisconsin! Rally

I spent Saturday afternoon at the Capitol protesting the power grab of our ultra-conservative governor. I went alone and kept running into friends and family. As one commentator put it, it's like being at the best party ever while fighting for your life in the most desperate situation. Stayed up 'til 2 making a movie about it with footage and stills I took during the day. It's getting passed around on Facebook and a communal posting site for video about the protests.
