End of April...

Brings lousy rainy weather to southern WI. Anne is off with Mark and Ruth looking at sites for the teacher tour in August. Ack was notified that he will be receiving NASA's Exceptional Public Service Medal on May 11, while in DC; I am not sure why I got it, but I'll get to shake the hand of the NASA administrator to get it. I think it had to do with a review panel for NASA that I ran. Here's an image of what the medal is supposed to look like.

Last Weekend

For years I've heard about the amazing spring concert of the UW Marching Band.  So we went: me, Bionca, her cousin & her sister.  It was great music (drum line the best), fun but way too long (3 hours!) and very Badger boostery.  Taking photos with my new zoom lens was a great diversion.

 

Spring is here...

Flowers are blooming, Ack caught a couple of fish from our shoreline and Anne is out on the water - in this case rowing. If you look closely you'll find one of Ack's Christmas gift...

Waiting for the Bunny

Here we sit, waiting for the bunny.

This morning, the Easter Chicken arrived and hid the eggs we'd colored last night.  Anne hunted while Ack watched, sipping a mimosa, and giving hints as needed.  Anne went to church at Prairie where she heard this great e. e. cummings poem:
