Tampa Family Fun
Go to my Picasa album to see about 50 photos from the really wonderful Patrick Nolan/Kara Vona wedding last week in Tampa. Loved being there with everyone, in spite of Cptn. Joel and his dead animal fetish. Miss my wonderful family!

Mike visiting...
Devil's Door at Devil's Lake State Park
The 'Bird Orchestra' of Dr. Evermore
Mike is out here visiting. (Yeah!) In addition to boat rides and relaxing, we saw some art work, toured Art Fair on the Square, heard some great French language music at La Fete de Marquette, made a long hike at Devil's Lake, and stopped in to visit Dr. Evermore's sculptures.

Erin and Al Visit!
Erin and Al came to visit for a couple of days. Here we are walking in Olbrich Gardens. We also visited Margaret, Meg, Grace and Reed, the Children's Museum and a movie or two. They are now driving to Utah, visiting sites on the way.

They're everywhere in Australia!

First Impressions of Sydney

Beautifully dressed women. They have flair in their fashion that declares a casual femininity.
Most common footwear choice: flip flops.
No pan handlers or homeless. I have seen a few men who look down on their luck but no one that is actively begging or carrying around their nightly bedding and belongings.
Friendly, friendly, friendly people. I have been treated so kindly by the hotel staff and like a lost friend by people I’ve met in shops and restaurants.
Water everywhere. There are so many arms of the ocean that come into the shore at Sydney, so many views of water from anywhere high, water features like pools and fountains that continue that theme in the city, and yesterday: rain, rain, rain.
