Curling with Scots

Anne spent Thursday curling with the 2011 Scots Tour.

Bucky Badger (with curling broom) and part of the UW Marching Band greeted them and 'piped' them onto the ice. 


Curling cupcakes followed a great lunch. 

My afternoon team traveled with a mascot, a curler named Murdo knitted by a friend. 


Of course, the ladies at our table had to check out what he was wearing under his kilt.  To everyone's surprise, he sported a Band-Aid in that most private of places.  Lots of laughs, lots of fun, lots of good curling.

Anne is participating in a curling bonspiel this weekend. Known as the Gilmore event, each team has to bring a pie to share.
